The HOW: Missua-Patola Soup

There are just somethings in life that I can't quite get enough off. One of them is this particular dish.

Missua-patola soup has been a staple dish in our home for a long time now. Its a light soup, packs enough energy for the day without leaving you that bloated feeling after the meal. It definitely wont make you fat and its a complete source as it has the essentials of both go, grow and glow foods. (Carbs in the noodles, protein in eggs/groundbeef, vit/min/fiber in veggies/seasonings). Its easy enough to prepare, the ingredients aren't as pricey as other dishes and you can find most of them in any convinience store. What more can you ask for?. Right? :)

It's a guilt free dish that I indulge to whenever my mom or aunt decides to cook this. Plus the dish is flexible enough that you can alter the original recipe to your satisfaction. The taste is pretty savory without being too overpowering that makes it a good match for any meal you serve it with. I personally love this meal. So check this one out and discover a soup that'll surely catch your heart.

And here is how you make it:
Ingredients:
*1tbsp of cooking oil
*1clove of garlic (minced)
*1 onion (sliced)
*4-5pcs hard boiled eggs
*Fish sauce
*Salt and pepper
*3-4 cups of Chicken stock/water
*Pack of Missua noodles
*1/4 kilo groundbeef/pork
*Patola (sliced)
*Green onions (sliced)
*other ingredients of your choice (optional)
-shrimps
-fishballs, chickenballs, actually any kind of balls will do LOL
-other veggies (I personally prefer adding mushrooms and sili)

Steps:
1. On a saucepan, heat the oil afterwards  saute both onions and garlic. (I personally  add more than the usual amount of garlic and then take some after they are golden brown for garnishing)
2. You can now add some of the meats/shrimp. check if they are cooked to your satisfaction.
3. Add the chicken stock/water and let it boil.
4. Afterwards, add the missua noodles.
5. Season with fish sauce, salt and pepper (I sometimes add Pork/beef/shrimp cubes to substitute for taste especially if there is too little beef/pork or shrimp)
6. Add your patola/veggies and eggs  and let it simmer 3-5 minutes.
7. Remove from the heat and serve garnished with green onions/fried garlic.
